About Me

Digital Media has always been an interest of mine whilst growing up. This interest later turned into a focused passion for photography, starting with film SLR cameras and continuing to span into the digital age. I bought my first digital camera in the early 2001, a 1.4 Mega Pixel Kodak camera. For me, the digital revolution of photography was liberating. No longer was I limited to a roll of film, I could afford to let my creativity take flight and take risks, experiment with different ideas more freely.

Although there were many cameras (mainly Fuji) between the Kodak my first, and my current growing Nikon family, It was not until I purchased my first DSLR, a Nikon, that I realised that what I was calling a passion, was really a calling – my hand was always meant to hold a camera – it is an extension of me.

I do not specialise in a single particular form of photography, (though I certainly have my favorites, namely Studio Portraiture and Landscapes) rather I continually practice all aspects and varieties of photography; discovering new ways to capture fleeting moments – which for me, is what photography is all about; artistically capturing a moment, and immortalising it.

I am always looking for new creative ways and subjects to photograph, please feel free to contact me (me@christopherrowe.com.au) if you have any ideas!
